Alchemy Bar Right in the Heart of Tampa

Driftlight … what an amazing find! We actually had not set out to eat lunch at the JW Marriott in Tampa. We were there to take headshots for our financial brokerage. After our Photoshoot, we sat at the bar and ordered up.

I told the bartender that I wanted rum with fresh juice … she crafted the most amazing, fresh rum cocktail I’ve ever had. My husband ordered Glen Fiddich on the rocks. The food: we ordered the grouper tacos … cooked to perfection. Slightly spicy, but the flavors were on point! They were served with flour tortillas, chimichurri aioli, guacamole, cilantro, and tatemada salsa. Perfection!

We also ordered the Driftlight Burger. Excellent! Made with Crimini mushrooms, truffle pecorino, arugula, red onion, black garlic remoulade, and bacon on a Kaiser roll. Exquisite. We’ll be back. This one gets a 10 out of 10. No complaints here …. And the hotel is beautiful!!!!
